Rumbling Waters, an original show written and directed by local author Sherida Black, celebrates the rich history of Elmore County and the surrounding River Region. Funded in part by a grant from the Elmore County Community Foundation, the play weaves tales from Wetumpka's rich history along with music and multimedia into stories shared from a front porch of yesterday.

Written by Roger Miller
Directed by Kristy Meanor
August 5-7, 12-14 and 19-21 at 7:30pm and April 8 at 2pm
Based on the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, this Tony award winning musical was conceived primarily as a vehicle to showcase the talents of country music songwriter Roger Miller. It tells the story of Huck Finn and his friend Jim, a runaway slave, as they travel down the Mississippi River and features such showstoppers as Muddy Water and Let's Hear it for the Hawg.

Directed by Hazel Jones
Sept 30-Oct 2, 7-9 and 14-16 at 7:30pm and Oct 10 at 2pm.
Five southern women whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge their relationships. Free from husbands, kids and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina’s Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other’s lives. The Dixie Swim Club focuses on four of those weekends and spans a period of thirty-three years.. As their lives unfold and the years pass, these women increasingly rely on one another, through advice and raucous repartee, to get through the challenges (men, sex, marriage, parenting, divorce, aging) that life flings at them. And when fate throws a wrench into one of their lives in the second act, these friends, proving the enduring power of ‘teamwork’, rally ‘round their own with the strength and love that takes this comedy in a poignant and surprising direction.
